As you can see, using Microsoft Word's method of adding a signature to a letter is quite confusing — especially sine you have to click two 'Draw' buttons that seem to do the same thing, right?

Alternatively, you can just add a wet signature in Word by writing your signature on paper, taking a picture of it, and then inserting it in the MS-Word document.

Pro Tip: You can use our free Word Signing tool to insert your Microsoft Word document and add your electronic signature made with SignHouse to the document.

Our way is free, and also quicker and more professional than Microsoft's method.

Method 3: Apple Pages

Apple Pages is the go-to solution for iMac and MacBook users. Use Apple Pages to electronically sign a letter in these steps:

  1. Open the Pages letter with the Preview app;
  2. Select the Markup icon (top bar);
  3. Click Signature;
  4. Design your signature: Draw it, take a photo, or hold a piece of paper with your signature to the webcam;
  5. Confirm changes.
